Effective January 1, 2024, and last updated on November 14, 2023, this Privacy Policy applies to neighbZ, the Platform where users connect with their meaningful, Christ-centered communities. neighbZ believes we exist because local communities need a more positive, uplifting, faith-based alternative to "big tech" social media.

Please take a moment to review this Privacy Policy, which outlines our privacy practices, the handling of personal information collected through neighbZ, and the ways we utilize and share such information. This policy also informs you about the choices you have concerning your personal information.

Throughout this Privacy Policy, "neighbZ" refers to the neighbZ “Platform” which includes but is not limited to websites and our iOS and Android apps, collectively also referred to as our "Services." The terms "neighbZ," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the company Trinity Proximity Inc. operating our Services, as detailed in the End User Terms and Conditions. An "End User" is an individual registered to use our Services.

Unless otherwise specified, this Privacy Policy applies to all regions where neighbZ offers its services. Capitalized terms not defined in this document have the meanings provided in our End User Terms and Conditions.

Personal information may be collected directly from you, from other End Users or users of our Services, through technology that automatically collects information from your browser or device, and in some cases from third-party sources. Examples are provided below. Please note that not all neighbZ account types and features are available in all locations, and the examples may vary. Additionally, these examples are not exhaustive, and we may collect personal information not specifically listed below, used in line with this Privacy Policy. We may also provide additional information about our data collection or privacy practices in disclosures about specific Services or circumstances or at the time of collecting personal information from you. Collected personal information is used and processed in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. What personal information we may collect from you?

1.1 The types of personal information:

Your personal details: When signing up for neighbZ, you will be required to provide certain information such as your name, email address, and your general home location. Additional personal details may be provided, either during sign-up or later, including profile picture. You may also disclose information about yourself in your neighbZ profile or when posting or commenting on neighbZ, as detailed below. If you wish to join neighbZ or use our Services before their introduction to your social feed, you can choose to provide us with your contact information and request notification when our Services are introduced to your geographical location. When contacting support, you must provide contact information and a description of the issue for us to respond or provide support.

Data from other accounts: You may choose to share or sync your contacts with neighbZ, including contacts' names, email addresses, physical addresses, phone numbers, or other information. We use this information to help you see which contacts have joined neighbZ, invite contacts who aren't on neighbZ, be notified when contacts join, and personalize content relevant to you.

Profile, posts, direct messages, interests, location, and recommendations: You can share information in your profile, including interests, skills, pictures, household information, biographical details (such as job, hometown, time in the area, etc.), emergency contacts, or things you love about your community. You may post on neighbZ, including text, images, photos, videos, tags of people or places, polls, offers to sell or give away items, or other content you wish to share. Sending direct messages on neighbZ, including text, images, photos, or videos. Sharing information about your interests by joining or posting in a Community Group or supporting a community or topic. Providing information about local businesses through recommendations, reviews, ratings, comments, or by claiming or creating a business page.

Payment information: If you make a payment to or through neighbZ, you provide our third-party payment processors with payment card details and other payment information to complete the transaction.

Contests, sweepstakes, and prize drawings data: Participation in contests, sweepstakes, or prize drawings may involve providing personal information, feedback, or comments for entry or as part of the contest.

Messages and email data: We collect information when you send, receive, open, read, or otherwise engage with messages, email, or other communications in connection with our Services. This includes whether you have opened or acted on those communications.

Photos and videos: You may grant permission for our Services to collect images, photos, videos, and other information from your device's camera and photo library. Metadata in these files may indicate how, when, where, and by whom the files were created, accessible to other End Users or those who can access the files.

Geolocation: You may grant our Services permission to access your device's precise geolocation, used to confirm your general home area and assist in operating or personalizing our Services. This includes tagging posts, providing information on or adding to a map, and showing you more relevant content or ads.

Business information: If using our Business Services, you may share details about your association with a business and the services offered by you or the business. Please refer to our Business Terms & Services for more detailed information.

Booking information: Using reservations or job postings involves sharing information related to your bookings with businesses, such as search terms, service type, job details, timing, service address, cost, materials, Job Code, and associated communications.

1.2 Personal information we may collect from your browser or device:

With your permission, and where required by applicable laws, we, our service providers, and partners collect technical information when you visit or use neighbZ, engage with our partners, or interact with our or our partners' marketing communications. This includes: Device data: Device data may be inadvertently collected by Apple or Google and not always initiated from neighbZ. This may include your device's manufacturer and model, operating system and version, screen resolution, RAM and disk size, CPU usage, IP address, unique identifiers, crash data (if applicable), device settings, carrier, radio/network information (e.g., WiFi, LTE, 3G). Geolocation data may be collected with your permission or derived from your IP address or other data. Your device and software settings impact the information available to us. Online activity data: This may include the date and time of your visit, duration of access, browser or app version used, URLs you come from and go to, and how you used neighbZ or interacted with our emails and messages. For example, online activity data may include your navigation within neighbZ, links or features clicked on, and interactions. Certain data collection may involve cookies and similar technologies, as explained in more detail in our Advertising and Cookie Policy.

1.3 Personal information we may collect about non-End Users:

Even if you don't use neighbZ, information about you may still be inadvertently collected. Registered neighbZ End Users may share information about their contacts, including contact lists, address books, or manually entered information about you. Contact information may include your name, email address, phone number, or other details. Registered neighbZ End Users may also post or comment with personal information about non-End Users. If a Registered End User has shared information about you that you wish to have removed from our Platform, please contact us and we will remove your information.

2. How Is My Personal Information Used?

We use personal information for the following purposes:

2.1 Establish and develop communities:

Using personal information to identify and invite potential new End Users to neighbZ, and setting up new neighbZ user regions. This includes sending invitations, reminders, and notifications on behalf of End Users.

2.2 Set you up on neighbZ Utilizing personal information to:

Confirm End Users accounts using various techniques, verification codes, or geo-verification. Additional information, such as government-issued identification and business documentation, may be requested for account confirmation. Populate End Users profiles and personalize the neighbZ experience. Notify neighbors of new End Users joining the community. Create and offer Business Services to help End Users discover locally owned businesses in their communities.

2.3 Provide and improve our Services:

Utilizing personal information, manual, and automated systems to analyze and use Content (as defined in the End User Terms and Conditions) and other information to: Operate neighbZ, create and suggest communities, invite neighbors, and enhance products and features. Assist in creating, publishing, viewing, sharing, and responding to Content, including highlighting interesting posts. Highlight community groups, community topics, or other resources. Administer surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities, and collect feedback. Highlight locally owned businesses, ads, offers, products, and services tailored to you. Offer Business Services, including enabling Business Pages and promotional services. Respond to support requests and comments. Test and evaluate potential new products and features. Diagnose and resolve problems and monitor usage and resource needs. Accept payments through third-party payment processors. Communicate with you about neighbZ or our Services through email, notifications, ringless voicemail, phone calls, and text messages, including announcements, updates, security alerts, and support messages.

2.4 Create and maintain a trusted environment:

Using your information to help create and maintain a trusted environment on neighbZ, including: Detecting and preventing fraud, spam, abuse, security incidents, and other harmful, unauthorized, unethical, illegal, or objectionable activity or content. Conducting security investigations, audits, and risk assessments. Complying with legal obligations. Confirming or authenticating information or identification. For legal and safety reasons described in Section 4.3 below.

2.5 Advertising:

Utilizing personal information to provide and enhance advertisements offerings both on and off our Services, including: Personalizing advertisements based on potential interests. Providing and measuring the effectiveness of personalized advertising, assessing its appeal to End Users and its effectiveness for advertisers. Improving the personalization of advertisements. Sending promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information we think may interest you. Inviting you to participate in events or other relevant opportunities. Advertising offers seen on neighbZ may be customized based on the location of a locally owned business or vendor information, community demographics on neighbZ.

2.6 Research and development:

Utilizing personal information for research and development purposes, generating aggregated, de-identified, and/or other anonymous data from collected personal information. neighbZ does not share your data with outside third parties.

3. How Is My Personal Information Shared with Other End Users?

3.1 Sharing of Your Content on neighbZ:

neighbZ serves as a Platform for community End Users to exchange useful information. Consequently, any content you post on neighbZ, such as posts, responses, recommendations, messages, and profile details, may be visible to fellow End Users, businesses, governmental entities, and the general public, including visitors (individuals who have not registered for our services but can access certain parts of our offerings, as defined in the End User Terms and Conditions), as well as search engines. This content may include personal information. You have the ability to modify the visibility of your posts through your settings and preferences, as outlined in Section 5 below. It's important to review the options provided under the profile section for further details. Please note that even though neighbZ does NOT sell or share your personal data outside of our Platform, if third-party search engines or other entities cache this information, we do not control their practices, and they may utilize caches containing outdated data. For additional information, refer to the privacy policies of these third parties.

3.2 Confirmation of Accounts:

To validate your account, we may share personal information with our verification partners, such as telecommunications providers (if you opt to verify your account by providing your phone number) or other data providers. This is for the safety of you, your family, and other End Users within the neighbZ Platform.

3.3 Legal and Safety Considerations:

We may retain, preserve, or disclose your content and personal information to law enforcement, government authorities, or private entities if we reasonably believe it is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable laws or respond to valid legal requests (e.g., subpoenas, search warrants, court orders); (b) investigate, prevent, or address fraud, unauthorized activities, security issues, or technical problems; (c) protect our or others' rights, property, or safety; (d) enforce our End User Terms and Conditions or other agreements with you; or (e) prevent harm to any person or entity, including you and the public. This may involve sharing your personal information with disaster relief agencies, first responders, or other individuals to facilitate emergency response efforts.

3.4 Advertisement Engagement:

If you interact with a locally owned business’s advertisement or offer on neighbZ, we may share your response and limited End Users profile information, potentially containing personal details, with the business.

3.5 Collaboration with Third-Party Partners:

neighbZ does not collaborate with Third-Party Partners that require or request any neighbZ End User’s personal data at anytime.

3.6 Involvement of Emergency Service Providers:

We may share personal information with service providers and data processors in an emergency or legal situations such as described in 3.3 above. These entities are contractually bound to use personal information solely for providing their services, prohibiting its use for their purposes.

3.7 Social Media Integration:

Our services incorporate social media features, including a share button. If you choose to share content with personal information using this button, information about that content will be shared with the selected social media Platform that you are sharing the content to.

3.8 Business Reorganization:

Personal information may be privately shared in transactions involving corporate activities such as divestiture, merger, consolidation, acquisition, restructuring, reorganization, or sale of some or all of neighbZ's assets or equity interests. These entities are contractually bound to use personal information solely for providing their services, prohibiting its use for their purposes.

3.9 Engagement with Professional Advisors:

Personal information may be privately shared with professional advisors, including lawyers, auditors, bankers, and insurers, as necessary for the professional services they render to neighbZ. These entities are contractually bound to use personal information solely for providing their services, prohibiting its use for their purposes.

3.10 Involvement of Payment Processors:

Payment card information used for purchases on neighbZ is collected and processed directly by our payment processors and is subject to their privacy policy.
